The Barn Bathroom, Richmond
One sliding steel door, barn-style, with a glazed grid the full height of the opening between a bedroom and its bathroom.
01The project
One door, one movement.
A single steel leaf hangs from a top track and slides along the wall. There is no swing and no floor space lost, and the bathroom opens with one hand.
The grid runs the full height of the leaf, with the glass set inside the steel. Light passes between the two rooms, and with the door open they read as one suite. The door was made to order from our survey, and our own fitters set the track, leaf and stops on the day.
